Tube Information Tubes are required in all Tube Type wheel applications. In some cases tubes should be fitted even in a tubeless tire. As an example, 99% of spoke wheels are going to be Tube Type. Even though the wheel is a Tube Type, if you are fitting a tubeless tire to it (which you probably are), a tube is required. New tubes are required in new tires because old tubes are stretched and unsafe to use in a new tire. If a wheel is suitable for tubeless use, it should be marked. Normally the wheel will be stamped "TUBELESS TIRE APPLICABLE" or simply "TUBELESS". Some of the early 80's Japanese bikes were fitted with aluminum mags that required tubes for example. By just looking at them anyone would assume they are tubeless, yet they require a tube. Please verify whether or not your application requires tubes before finishing your order. Below is a chart converting metric to inch sizing to help you get the right tube fitment. If you don't see the exact size you need, go with one size smaller. Tubes are made to stretch into a tire. Feel free to call us if you need assistance.
